Consolida regalis

I photographed the buds of this tender wildflower
in the herbal garden of Michaelstein-Abbey in June 4.
It's a historical medical plant, poison.

No voyage

No Voyage

I wake earlier, now that the birds have come
And sing in the unfailing trees.
On a cot by an open window
I lie like land used up, while spring unfolds.

Now of all voyagers I remember, who among them
Did not board ship with grief among their maps?—
Till it seemed men never go somewhere, they only leave
Wherever they are, when the dying begins.

For myself, I find my wanting life
Implores no novelty and no disguise of distance;
Where, in what country, might I put down these thoughts,
Who still am citizen of this fallen city?

On a cot by an open window, I lie and remember
While the birds in the trees sing of the circle of time.
Let the dying go on, and let me, if I can,
Inherit from disaster before I move.

O, I go to see the great ships ride from harbor,
And my wounds leap with impatience; yet I turn back
To sort the weeping ruins of my house:
Here or nowhere I will make peace with the fact.

All good things come in threes
That already knew the ancestors
Many fairytales tell us about it
Spit three times over the shoulder
of the artist
before his tightrope performance
If you are a kind person
you make three good deeds
to seemingly insignificant creatures
then comes the fairy and
you have three wishes
There are three chairs
on which you will sit
and write down what you are wishing?
Think about them well
it could be true!

Aller guten Dinge sind drei
Das wuszten schon die Altvorderen
Viele Märchen erzählen davon
Dreimal über die Schulter gespuckt
hilft dem Artisten
vor seinem Drahtseilakt
Wenn du ein gutherziger Mensch bist
vollbringe drei gute Taten
an scheinbar unbedeutenden Wesen
dann kommt eine Fee und du hast
drei Wünsche frei
Da sind drei Stühle auf welchen
wirst du dich setzen
aufzuschreiben was du dir wünschst?
Bedenke es gut denn es
könnte geschehen!

Friday's Hunt

Starts with "Z" - this is Zazie, my little rabbit-friend

Weeks favorite is silence and quietness.
I had a lot of trouble and pain and a noise-overload yesterday...
I'm so longhing for silence and quietness, like here in the old Abbey.
It's a wonderful place,  the Michaelstein-Abbey by Blankenburg, I wish, I could more often be there (it's a Museum and a wonderful herb garden, open for all)

Today it was very hot and sunny and it's good to have a big sun parasol.

Joining with Teresa's Friday's Hunt

Friday Five, Solstice and other things...

Good morning,
the time is flying and it's friday again.
I'm joining with Amys Five on Friday.

We have a long rainy time, but at summer solstice came the sun and we made a nice walk through the historic landscape park in Blankenburg, a little town nearby Wernigerode, where we are living.
They have well restored this area and it's a big joy to stroll around.

I had a very big pain in this week and I hope, that was the last act of psychological violence
from my mother against me. I hope it ends soon, what a life lasted long on.
The previous years, without contact with her, I have lived much better.
She staged all time her own misfortune and can not stand when people around her
are living better and happier.
I forgive her and she's me just only sorry, but sometimes it's is such a monstrosity
that very hurts me. Nothing, what I can do.

The both old big bookshelves from my father, which I just got, are fitting well in my room,
left and right from the door.
I have not yet completed sort the books, but I take my time with it.
There will be a new order, last was 15 years ago and it got messed up a lot during the time.
Because new books found no more places in the thematic areas.

In my backyard the Deutzia begins to bloom.
The loveliest time in the year is now.
It's only sad for the roses - they are to fast down from all the rain...

A baroque castle (in Blankenburg) and a baroque music for today

Henry Purcell - "The Gordian knowd untied.
Plays Finnish Baroque Orchestra

Enjoy your weekend.
